Pittsburg Visible typewriter

The beautiful Pittsburg Visible typewriter is the later version of the Daugherty typewriter, which pioneered the 4-row, front-strike, see-as-you-type design. It would be the Underwood typewriter however, that would steal the show, having the same optimum design features as the Pittsburg, but in a far better functioning machine. The modern typewriter had arrived and in short order it would take the world by storm.

This typewriter originally sold for $75.00.

“Don’t you believe it! A blind machine will not give as much satisfaction. Accept no substitute for visible writing. There’s but one that has it all the time.”
