The Todd Protectograph check protector is from the 1920s.
This beautiful machine, that was made in Rochester New York, was used for embossing checks to stop them from being altered. This is still done today when get a money order or bank draft at the bank.
This example is in like new condition ands works very well.
It is 15″ long.
