ODELL 1
Odell Typewriter Company, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Patent Pending
1889
|
The Odell 1 is a beautifully designed linear index typewriter. To type,
one moves the handle to the desired character and pushes down. The carriage
moves perpendicular to the handle movement. The first model typed only in
capitals.
Model 1 is a scarce find today.
This typewriter originally sold for $20.00.
"The only practical low-priced machine."
